Stuff (Nathan's News)

It was Easter! And God put a display of his power (okay so not a cross in the sky, but something as cool and that IS a photo of it in a way took me like an hour to do that just kneeling with my camera pointed at the sky). I'll leave you to wonder at it for a little bit.

And on another happy note, Brisbane Lions (the team I barrack for) is doing exceptionally well with a percentage around 180%! (even if it's only up to round 3)

And at some website (warholizer) I made this picture (it's me in the suit from a previous video I did):
Which I think is really cool.

Especially when you make 6 of them (every one of them is unique) and use this to do this:

Cool Slideshows

which I think is really cool.

And, to yet another happy note, I was awarded the Thinking Blog Award by Julie. Apparently my Easter story (that had nothing to do with Easter per se was impressive and thought provoking which is nice to know.

I don't have time to add my 5 people as I'll be at Nick's for the next 2 days and I've got to go NOW!

Christmas Eve

Guess what? I found out it was Christmas Eve today! I reckon the build up helps alot to celebrate christmas and I got alot of catching up today but anyway...

Despite all the tragedies and misery etc etc blah blah blah, on christmas day the world for once and as one smile.

Yessiree, a big grin that's cheesier than all of the mice dreams put together.

And you know what? I find that delightful.

Yep, I know it's important to focus on the true meaning of christmas.

Yes, I also know that you should remember the 'true spirit of christmas'. ie: remember when you're recieving your pressies that not everyone in the world is as rich as you.

The spirit of christmas is to give.

Christmas dear reader, is celebrating the gift that God the Father gave to us.

The best gift ever.

But I think what is often overlooked,

Is that deep down inside,

Sometimes in people you just couldn't of guessed,

Apparently lurks the capability of Joy.

And I think that's worth celebrating, don't you?

JOY TO THE WORLD AND HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My Accent

I'm not entirely sure what my accent is. I sometimes catch irish, scottish or english in it (I think that's because I like those accents and enjoy speaking it) and I can sometimes hear my accent change as I speak which is weird. Apparently I've got a different accent for different occasions ie: my performing accent (which I can hear) and my casual accent. I presume I have an Aussie accent all up but I can never hear the Aussie accent. To me it's just talking in a plain voice. Anyway I took a test in what sort of American accent I have and I got:

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

The Northeast
Philadelphia
The South
The Midland
North Central
Boston
The West

I'm not sure really what to make of it because I don't frequent America or even Inland North America so not sure what to feel. If you're from America can you fill me in?

Quick Post

Last Wednesday I had a Middle School Showcase and I was one of the stars. :) I had a really good play that I wish I could have posted, but I am not, in fact, in possesion of the video. It was a radio/television skit and I was thinking of something else I could do on the blog and so I am going to make it soon. On the down side of life, we hadn't been working much because of the showcase but my teacher is now going to give us solid work for the next two weeks :(
On the other upside I've got my Grand Final TOMORROW which I have been practising heaps for and hopefully I shall post soon that I won and a picture of the trophy. Hofpefully I don't go into a pit of despair if I loose.

What I'm Thinking

Yes! My basketball team is straight into the Grand Final with two weeks rest! I get a trophy! I get a trophy! I get a trophy! I get a trophy! I get a... Anyway, just a random thought, do any of you feel compassion for funny people doing corny and, let's face it, rather pethetic jokes that are from a script as a host to shows that mainly play back old television etc. moments? Some people seem suited to the job and I for one just feel an inkling of pity but then I'm over it. But I think one of the saddest things in the world are funny people doing that. Oh well, couldn't think of anything else to write so that will have to do. Bye for a now. :)
